DESIGN PHILOSOPHY PAPERS
Team D/E/S launched this online international refereed journal in 2003.

Design Philosophy Papers aims to develop understandings of design as a world-shaping force by engaging thinkers from a variety of disciplines, especially philosophy. A major issue addressed consistently in Design Philosophy Papers is unsustainability as a structural condition of the modern world, that has arrived largely by design.
Contributors and editorial board members are from many parts of the world and include distinguished writers such as philosopher of technology, Albert Borgmann; Heideggerian philosopher William McNeill; architectural theorist, Karsten Harries; sustainable designer Ezio Manzini. The latest issue of the journal is available free at www.desphilosophy.com

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY POLITICS

ECOLOGIES OF STEEL
an e-book about the past, present and future of steel, published by Team D/E/S. Ecologies of Steel is a four thousand year cultural history of a material, exploring what steel has designed as well as what has been designed with steel. Iron and steel-making are shown to be connected with alchemy, magic and science; the destruction and the conservation of forests; the forms and structures of the modern world and much else.
