DESIGN PHILOSOPHY PAPERS Team D/E/S launched this online international refereed journal in 2003. Design Philosophy Papers aims to develop understandings of design as a world-shaping force by engaging thinkers from a variety of disciplines, especially philosophy. A major issue addressed consistently in Design Philosophy Papers is unsustainability as a structural condition of the modern world, that has arrived largely by design. Contributors and editorial board members are from many parts of the world and include distinguished writers such as philosopher of technology, Albert Borgmann; Heideggerian philosopher William McNeill; architectural theorist, Karsten Harries; sustainable designer Ezio Manzini.
