Design Philosophy Papers, 2003 to date
One of the initiators of, and now the editor of an online journal - www.desphilsophy.com – which has built up a substantial international base of readers, contributors and subscribers amongst design educators and researchers.

Queensland Design Futures, 2004
Co-ordination of Arts Queensland funded professional development project to enhance designer’s capabilities to address environmental challenges (Team D/E/S initiated project).

Office Products: Guide to Sustainable Purchasing and Use, 2000 and 2002
Research and production of a guide on sustainable purchasing and use of office technologies, equipment and consumables. Commissioned and published by the Inner Sydney Waste Board. Researched and wrote a revised edition for Resource NSW.

Design Controls for Energy Conservation, 2001
Assisted in formulating a Development Control Plan for energy and resource efficient non-residential developments, including passive design concepts for commercial and industrial buildings. Client: Bankstown City Council.

Environmentally Designed Buildings: Case Studies, 2000-2001
Independent assessments of energy and resource efficient buildings: Thurgoona Campus of Charles Sturt University, Shenton College Western Australia, Buxton Public School and Darling Park office tower. Commissioned by Australian Building Energy Council.

Waste Minimisation and Sustainable Purchasing, 2000-2001
Delivered workshops on sustainability issues related to selection and use of office equipment/resources to staff of Leichhardt Council and other LGAs; and on waste auditing as part of 'environmental champions' staff program for Department of Urban Affairs and Planning.

Olympic Velodrome, Bankstown, 1997-8
ESD consultant and Environmental Plan Manager to Ryder SJPH Architects for Concept and Detailed Design of the Dunc Gray Velodrome. Building incorporates highly effective daylighting, natural ventilation, stormwater retention and re-use. It won the RAIA (NSW) Energy Efficiency Award. Client: Olympic Co-ordination Authority

Brambles Records Management, Albury-Wodonga, 1995
Ecological design consultant for records management warehouse facility. The building incorporated low impact materials, energy efficient lighting, stormwater collection and re-use. Client: Brambles.

Retrofit of Former School Building, Rozelle, 1994-5
Specification and procurement of low impact materials and products (including floor coverings, timbers, finishes and office equipment) for the retrofit of a former school building to become the EcoDesign Foundation’s display and research centre.
